CCNC innovation forum draws a crowd

On January 13, 2015 more than 300 representatives from health systems, public/community health, academic institutions, advocacy organizations, etc. attended CCNC's 2015 Innovation Forum. Keynote speaker Paul Grundy, MD, MPH, FACOEM, FACPM kicked off the morning events, followed by Warren Newton, MD, MPH who led a panel on healthcare transformation. The Honorable Aldona Z. Wos, MD, Ambassador (Ret.) spoke during lunch, and Dr. Paul Cohen and representatives from NC State University's Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering spoke about a new partnership with CCNC. Mark T. Loafman, MD, MPH and Paul Burgess, MBBS, PhD, MPH, from Chicago and Australia respectively, offered an outside perspective of CCNC's work. The afternoon held breakout sessions hosted by CCNC Central Office and Network staff, and Jim Jones, MD closed the day with an inspirational call to action.
