Careers: Analytics Manager – Population Health Reporting

POSITION SUMMARY

Community Care of North Carolina, an organization focused on delivering patient-focused, community-based, cost effective care to improve the health of North Carolina, is looking for a dynamic, hands-on, highly skilled manager to direct its Population Health and Performance Reporting team. This team is responsible for the mission critical population health reporting suite across the Medicaid population and additional performance dashboards in support of CCNC’s objective to improve the health and quality of life of all North Carolinians by building and supporting better community-based health care delivery systems. This individual will provide expertise in visualization and Tableau, as well as in customer relations and an understanding of care management and healthcare.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Effectively coordinate with internal and external customers to identify and address analytic needs of population health management and value based care organizations. Lead the identification, development and implementation of analyses, insights, projects, and products to satisfy these requirements.
  • Direct ongoing support and development of care management Tableau dashboards across the enterprise, including back end administration, data integrity, dashboard designs, customer relationship and project management. Manage multiple phases of product design and rollout. Coordinate with and educate provider representatives to optimally utilize reports to change care coordination
  • Coordinate with executive leadership to understand, develop and implement the product vision as it continuously develops
  • Monitor workflow and project status ensuring timely completion and delivery of analyses and reports that meet quality standards and communicate the ongoing status in an easily ingestible manner. Implement process or procedural changes to accommodate and balance customer requirements, scheduling, and skill allocation.
  • Oversee the team’s work, ensuring accuracy of completed deliverables, prioritizing requests, coordinating report outs to executives, business leads and users. 
  • Oversee ongoing review of data integrity and data coding issues and their impact on product quality. Design and/or delegate corrective interventions.
  • Collaborate with IT to advance reporting capabilities and data integrity.
  • Coordinate across other analytic teams as projects and responsibilities overlap.
  • Lead and develop team members, providing continual professional development, promoting a positive workplace and a culture of professional excellence

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education

  • An advanced degree in analytics, statistics, mathematics, quantitative analysis, or related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • At least 5 years’ experience in an analytic/data analysis environment, with substantial experience in the use of healthcare data and the application of appropriate analyses and reporting.
  • 3 years’ experience as lead or senior analyst
  • Experience in data management/data operations/data analysis in a SAS and SQL based environment.
  • Experience in health care 
  • Experience building dashboards, preferably using Tableau

  • Ability to work at multiple levels and interact with internal and external customers to identify and address needs and implement analyses, projects, and products.

  • Ability to communicate with credibility, confidence, and poise to both technical and non-technical audiences, in oral and written communications.
